Links

Links are the pathways of the Internet. Without them, we are left stranded. Search engines are like cities built at the vast crossroads where those pathways meet, but unfortunately the signposts are a bit hit and miss. Sometimes it takes a lot of wandering to get to where you want to be.

Luckily, there is also an easier way to find your way around, especially within small communities like our own. All it takes is the guiding hand of those who have been there before. Here I present to you a record of my own journeys through the winding paths of the Mystara and Dungeons & Dragons communities.

  • Vaults of Pandius - The one and only master archive of the collected online works of our community. Run by Shawn Stanley for coming on ten years now. This is the officially sanctioned home of Mystara on the Internet.
  • The Piazza: The New Mystara Message Board - When Wizards merged the MMB and the other old worlds into one message board, many in the community decided that enough was enough, and to make our own board. Ashtagon was the first to come up with a board, so here we are.
  • Mystara Message Board - Until recently, this was the primary forum of discussion for all things Mystaran. Unfortunately Wizards of the Coast merged the Mystara board in with all the other old worlds on a whim. It has since been separated out again, but most of the past threads remain in the big mess of an Old Published Worlds board. The sticky post at the top of this board contains links to many interesting threads, which thankfully still work.
  • Other Published Worlds Board - This is the messy merged Old Worlds forum, the result of merging together boards for all the old campaign worlds. A lot of old Mystara threads are here if you can find them; the vast majority are not marked [Mystara] so it really is a mess for trying to find things.
  • Dave Arneson's Blackmoor, by Havard - Havard's interest lies not just in Mystara but also in the land of Blackmoor, one of the very first D&D campaign worlds. Blackmoor forms an important part of Mystara's history, and although it has also been placed in the Greyhawk setting, it has a special, almost legendary position in our favourite setting. You can find out all the latest information about it at Havard's page. Best of all, you can find some fascinating maps.
  • Mystara Campaigns - Roger's Mystara home page. Some nice house rules and stuff for Rules Cyclopedia campaigns.
